Please describe your efforts towards participation and leadership. Did you take care to clean well? Mention if you were attentive at the beginning of class every day.
Yes, I try and be thorough in cleaning any mess that I leave. I pay attention as best as I can despite any distractions, either personal or external, though I try and grab something to do or at least occupy my hands before the bell rings to begin class - waxing the bottom of a project, working it off the vat to foot, molding a ball of wet clay to throw with, etc. Something that keeps me busy, but isn't so involved as to distract me from announcements and instruction.
How often do you use the pass? Are you on task every day and all period? How social are you versus how much work do you do? How closely do you meet assignment deadlines?
I believe I've yet to use the pass this quarter, though I may be mistaken. Sometimes I have to gather my thoughts at the start of class before remembering or decided on what I have to do that day, but once settled on a task I'm focused and working. I'm by nature fairly quiet socially, but those times I do engage in conversation with others is either only a brief distraction or none at all, depending on what I'm doing. At times I leave off what I'm working on personally, or had planned to, in order to help a beginner with a question or difficulty; length of time depends on what it is they need help with. Due dates are... Not so well-met. I've never had an easy time with something that requires consistent updating, such as a blog or diary, as I'm very easily distracted if I don't force myself into focus. That, and I'm a very well-versed procrastinator, taught by the very best in the business - you know who you are!
