I've not been very good at consistent posting, have I? Never have, unfortunately, and probably never will I be. Journals simply aren't my thing, I'm afraid, and it's two-thirty in the morning and my eyes won't stay shut so part of this may not make total sense. Just trust that it's all in my head, and you'll be alright.

Happy Almost-New Semester!

Let's see if this'll go through this time, yes?

Anywho! New stuff out of glaze, stuff in progress - namely the paper-divider thing and a failed attempt at molding a horse figurine - and one pot I'm very much looking forward to seeing how it'll come out of the glaze after break.

Not much else of interest, unfortunately. So, failing that, Merry Christmas everyone, and have a wonderful break!

Been doing mostly glazing the past couple weeks, haven't really taken any in-progress pictures as of yet. I have one or two things yet to finish, and a couple things ready to bisque, including what must be the biggest pot I've thrown to date!

Over the next couple weeks after Thanksgiving Break, I'll work on getting my finished projects up and posted. But for now, Happy Thanksgiving everyone! God bless, and may your turkeys - or tofurkeys, for you wonderfully crazy folks - be juicy and delicious!

K. makes awesome glazes, just saying. Since my first projects came out of the bisque a couple weeks ago and I've begun glazing, I've gravitated to mostly use shadow green and K.'s beautiful dark royal blue for the main body, with black and white/clear added as accents.

The middle bowl shown here, however, I sorta went crazy on. The inside is either blue or shadow green, with the "tomato red" over the yellow,=yellow speckles inside, and I think the outside is whatever color (blue/SG) the inside is not. It actually came out looking pretty cool!

Yush. Moar. Moar shtuff. MOAR SHTUFF!

I think I was using bagged clay by now, and I'm now fully back into the rhythm of throwing after the summer.

Enjoy!

Alrighty! These were my first batch of projects, within the first and/or second week. We all used clay from the mixer for the first few weeks, due to a shortage of new bagged clay. I was surprised how well it worked; thee was some trouble with foreign particles and airholes, but not always as bad as I feared, though I do still prefer fresh bagged clay.

Not that it's a bad thing!

But yes, Ceramics once again. I'll replace this with a proper blog later; for now, this will do.

A quick progress report is in order, I suppose. This is the third week - I'm pretty sure - of school, and so far I have five bowls ready for bisquing, and another two made yesterday and now awaiting to be popped off the vat and footed. The latest duo were made with bagged clay - finally! And oh my gosh, I loooooove using bag-clay.  It was so easy to center and open, and though the second bowl was a little more difficult, the first one just went smooth as silk. It was absolutely lovely, I say it true.

Anyway, as said I'll get the properblog set up soon, and add some pictures once that's up. For now, time to throw!

<i>{EDIT} If you're confused about the date, this wa I am simply reposting this from my first "post" when I used a page instead of an actual blog by mistake.
